In October 2019, Muna Lee was announced as UMKC assistant coach (sprints). She brings a world of experience to the Kansas City Track and Field team. Lee was born in Little Rock, Arkansas but grew up in Kansas City, MO. She attended Eastwood Hills Elementary, Wendell Phillips Elementary of Performing Arts, Paul Robeson Middle and Central High School. Lee attended Lousiana State Univeristy where she graduated with a BA in Interdiscpilanry Studies and minor in Communications Studies and Sports Studies. Since retiring from a 12-year professionsl sprinting career, Lee has been coaching collegiate track and field for two years.
