Minds Matter Expo (previously called College Takeover Tour) is a fundraising event that showcases some of the nations best music artist and brings awareness to mental health/suicide.

JOIN US FOR MINDS MATTER EXPO – FREE the public!

Promote SUICIDE AWARENESS & STOP THE STIGMA of MENTAL ILLNESS. We’ll have many speakers & organizations who will provide resources & information to learn how YOU can HELP those suffering, their families and loved ones, and all MINDS that MATTER in between!

Doors open at 10AM:
• Retail vendors and mental health resource booths
• Raffle drawings every hour and silent auction items
• Speakers throughout the day on Mental Health Awareness. Featuring :
        Bill Geis,
        SPEAK UP’s Jennifer Levinson,
        Pathway to Hope’s Kiersten Adkins & many more.
• The expo doors will close at 4PM

A FREE live entertainment showcase featuring:

HEADLINER: B.WIZE * BLAZE

MAX INDIVERI & THE WHIPS

Live entertainment event which brings awareness to Mental Health and Teen Suicide through the arts Hip Hop & Rock.

Featuring Kansas City best local talent including artists B. Wize, Blaze, & Max Indiveri & The Whips.

Promoting Mental Wellness, Mental Illness, Education, & Suicide Awareness because ALL MINDS MATTER!

About the Location

Hy-Vee Arena, formerly Kemper Arena, is revolutionizing the approach to sports. Located in the historic West Bottoms, Hy-Vee Arena opened its doors in October of 2018.

The addition of a second floor added over 82,000 square feet of column-free space, housing 12 basketball courts lined for volleyball, pickleball, and futsal. 

The incredible 350m Mondo Track wraps around the upper level of courts. 

Come into the Arena for fitness classes, to weight train in the Fitness Center, or  to relax in our locker rooms!

Hy-Vee Arena is also home to 9 businesses, 2 clothing retailers, 8 unique dining options, 4 fitness options, and 2 entertainment options.
